3 Day Eventing: Stadium Jumping

Published by under Equestrian Sports

Three Day Eventing is one of the most crazy sports that you can do with your pony.  It is said to be the most demanding horse sport out there, the ultimate test of horse and rider!  That is because there are three different types of riding, all in one sport!  These are Dressage, Cross Country, and Stadium Jumping.  Depending on where you live, Eventing could also be called Combined Training, but it will still have those three parts. It is called 3 Day Eventing because you do one thing each day, making it last three days!  Some places will combine the Dressage and the Stadium to one day, making it two days, but traditionally it’s three. Hey Everyone!  Today I found I great horse blog.  This may be a bit more for the older crowd, but I thought I would tell you all about it anyway.  She has some great stuff up! Here is part of a post that I thought was amusing.

How many horses does it take to change a light bulb?

Shetland: Give it to me, I’ll kill it and we won’t have to worry about it anymore.

Friesian: I would, but I can’t see where I’m going behind all this mane.

Morgan:   Me! Me! Pleeease let me!  I wanna do it! I’m gonna do it! I know how, really I do! Just watch!  I’ll rewire the barn after, too.

Haflinger: The thing I ate was a lightbulb?
